The Future of Advice: In Conversation with GrECo Group CEO Georg Winter
Vantel CEO Love Redin joins GrECo Group CEO Georg Winter to discuss why human judgement becomes more valuable, not less, as AI transforms commercial insurance.

Love Redin
CEO

I recently sat down with Georg Winter, CEO of GrECo Group, the 100-year-old risk and insurance management group serving clients across Central and Eastern Europe, for their HORIZON insights series. The question we tackled: if AI can process policy wordings and quote comparisons in seconds, where does that leave professional advice? Our answer, in short: advice doesn't get replaced. It gets elevated. A few of the themes we explored:
The work gets elevated
When Excel arrived, accountants weren't replaced. Their role became more strategic. The same will happen in broking: automating the lowest-level work creates space for relationships, strategy, and proactive risk management.
Information was never the hard part
The hard part is knowing what questions to ask and what the answers mean for a particular client. An exclusion that could sink one business might be irrelevant to another. The broker is the interpreter, not the copy-paster.
Trust cannot be automated
Clients want somebody who can challenge them, keep them honest, and help them reach the best outcome. When a wrong decision could seriously affect the business, people still want a person on the other side of the table.
My thanks to Georg and the GrECo team for the conversation. The full discussion, including the risks of losing critical thinking and how leaders should respond when AI conflicts with their instincts, is worth the four minutes: The Future of Advice (Full Discussion)
